The most common reason for an air source heat pump not working is the refrigerant. The refrigerant is either empty or leaking out. The symptoms of this are that the unit does not blow hot or cold. Fan failure is also common, if the fan is making a loud and unpleasant sound, there is probably a fault with the fan motor. If the air source heat pump is not responding at all, it is probably not getting power.
The drain pipe for the condensation water that collects during cooling is probably blocked by dust or other dirt.
If the filters on the indoor unit are not clean, the air blown out of the pump may start to smell. If cleaning the filters doesn't help either, you should book a professional to clean the entire indoor unit.
The service life of a refrigerator ranges from approximately 2-3 years to over ten years. EU legislation guarantees the consumer's right to a two-year warranty, during which the customer is entitled to a repair, replacement unit or money back from the seller. When you buy a more expensive product, you can expect it to last longer. If a more expensive appliance breaks down, for example after 4 years, the consumer may be entitled to compensation. After more than five years, however, you should no longer contact the seller.
